Thus is a very smooth Liu An tea from Anhui province. This tea is from the well known Shun Yi Sun tea factory which is known for it's high quality teas. This special edition is called Shan Quan (Wild Mountain) and also named 'Special Tea' on the ticket. this tea has large stems typical of a wild picked tea. Nicely compressed and still has only light aroma of the dried leaves. 1990's one white ticket factory production. Slight oxidation gives this special tea its unique flavors. Anhui tea was not produced from the 1950's until the 1980's when factories of the area reopened,
Tea history in Anhui goes back over 500 years (and further). Liu An tea is known to be thirst quenching and an aid to digestion. It was known in old China as a treasure tea. This tea has developed a deep and medicine taste which is sought after by tea drinkers.
