This is a great tippy small leafed top grade or Gong Ting Loosed leaf Pu-erh. The brew is smooth and complex. It is mostly Shu fermented (oxidized) but continued aging to perfection.
This is a great Menghai tea that is only slightly shu (20%) to get the aged flavor. The rest of the taste is time and HK dry storage. There is a great aftertaste that makes this tea memorable. A nice small leaf base that infuses quickly to brew a strong cup. A good tea of shu/sheng process that was used a lot in the 1990's to help speed aging but give the tea some room to naturally oxidize with time. That is what has happened with this good tea.
