This is a rare and limited Loose Leaf Pu-erh from the Hong Tai Chang factory. These leaves have the distinctive old flavor unique to Old Hong Tai Chang factory tea. This batch is very clean and well stored. Use a 10g per serving amount to bring out the full flavors and notes of this antique tea. Since it is loose you can get a small amount to try and enjoy. The leaves are special dried to start the factory flavor. Will steep quite a few times with rich flavor of wood and slightly sweet aftertaste
The Cultural Revolution lasted for 10 years in China from 1966 until Mao's death in 1976. Most of the teas were made in the old factories and was channeled through the government and CNNP state ownership. This is a tea which is based of great old wild leaves that have aged to perfection over over 50 years. This special taste cannot be copied and the tastes have become rich and deep over time. The tea has been stored in natural Hong Kong dry storage for many years. The leaves have an almost shu taste because of the age and maybe slight old time processing which gives each tea it's unique level of sheng to begin with.
