This yea comes from YiWu area and processed in Menghai, the homeland of the best Pu-erh teas. These are old big leaves with stems and nicely intact whole leaves. Each leaf seems to hold it’s history of this 50 year old tea. The leaves steep dark brown showing great aging and glisten as they release an aroma known as Ginseng or medicine taste. In this case medicine taste is a good thing.
This Xiang gong (PinYin) Chen jian tribute tea tells it is of the highest caliber of leaf. The tea has little aroma when dry, but just add water and inhale the ginseng aroma. This is a special tea to have in your collection, the flavor stands out a unique and satisfying.
