Organic Hunan Black- A great organic black with a distinctive taste. This tea is also known as ‘congou’ or gongfu tea. This black tea is processed by withering, rolling, oxidizing, and de-enzymizing (firing). The skilled production produces a full flavored leaf. When a lot of leaves are used, many subtle flavors of distant flowers and smokiness appear. The top notes are complex and satisfying. The leaves infuse quickly in full boiling water. Steep for about two minutes, less if brewed gongfu style. Try about one full tablespoon for a powerful dark cup. Infuse two times for two minutes each and then use new leaves. A great aid to digestion.
