1970’s Wanzi (Wanji) factory loose Pu-erh tea. Old big leaf
The 1970’s WanZi (Wanji) tea is made from tea of the Wan Fu yea factory production. These teas were sold through the Wan Zi tea house in Hong Kong. The teas were shipped to Taiwan in the 1990’s and have been there since. The teas were said to be shipped in large bags with Wan printed to identify the factory. The tea is smooth and rich tasting. End tastes of medicine and age rest at the bottom of the cup.
This yea is well stored and very clean tasting. The leaves are wild from the Menghai area where this was produced. Lots of stems show the wild traits of the leaves. This yea is quite rare and much more affordable than a beeng cake from this era. This is 50 year old sheng tea. This yea also has a nice qi feeling which only older teas sometimes offer. Brew strong for best results. Brews 10 times and more with great flavor and feeling.
